Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique sought out Hector Bellerin to
congratulate him on his performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to
Barcelona, according to Sport .
The report claims that after the match, the Barca duo were so
‘amazed’ with Bellerin’s display that they went to seek out the
Arsenal right-back to speak to him.
And while the report has not suggested that a transfer could be on
the cards, both Iniesta and Pique highlighted the 20-year-old’s rapid
progression and wished him luck.
Bellerin began his youth career at Barcelona but joined the Gunners
as a 16-year-old in the summer of 2011.
The Spaniard, who has not yet earned a senior cap with the national
side, made his first-team debut for Arsenal in 2013 but has gone on
to become a regular in Arsene Wenger’s side ahead of Mathieu
Debuchy.
